I’m a 43 year old litigation and insolvency lawyer in the Cayman Islands with a serious addiction to type 2 fun!

My focus for the last decade or so has been on mountaineering, but after completing the Seven Summits (the highest mountain on each continent) last year, I was ready for a new challenge before returning to the hills. Cycling has always been a big part of my training for climbing expeditions, and I’d had such a good time competing in RAW (Race across the West) a few years ago that RAAM seemed to make perfect sense for my 2017 adventure. But then signing up for these challenges always seems sensible at the time.

Our attempt to complete RAAM in a week is all about raising money for our four charities, the Cayman Islands Cancer Society (my chosen charity), the Children’s Tumor Foundation, Ellie’s Wish and Macmillan. We are entirely self-funded, so every dollar donated will go directly to the charities and will make a big difference to the lives of people less fortunate than ourselves. So thanks in advance for any donation, big or small, that you are able to make.
